Ars Poetica: Poetry to the People
One of the best phone calls I have ever received in my PhotoBohemia career, was when LA MARKS of Ars Poetica called me out of the blue to see if I wanted to collaborate with her.
She had received a grant to do pop up poetry activations around the Sacramento area in public spaces—at a school, the public library, the steps of the state capitol—and wanted a cool pop-up backdrop for the setups.
For something we could set up and break down quickly, I suggested we do fabric on a pipe and base structure. We selected this fabulous knit fabric together and I worked with a technical sewing studio to fabricate it.
