For our client's annual picnic, we collaborated to bring their Route 66-theme to life. The event was to be held on the Santa Monica pier, mid day, in the summer. This presented several production challenges: direct sunlight, potential for strong winds, and loading out through a packed amusement park. No sweat!

We focused on making the perfect set for the event.

This was the maiden voyage of our Pop Up Studio: a custom-built set structure designed to be very sturdy (to withstand wind), diffuse the sunlight (to turn a challenge into an opportunity) and accommodate one of our signature large format custom designed and digitally printed backdrops.

We created the artwork in-house, which consisted of 2 elements: the backdrop and the free-standing car.
